Name, type, width, decimals, label, values, missing, columns, align, measure, and role are the properties. While variable names must begin with a letter and use underscores instead of spaces, the label property allows you to utilize spaces to describe your variables in greater detail. To customize your variable type, tap on a cell in the ‘Type’ category.
While the default data type is set to Numeric, a list of alternative data types such as Comma, Dot, Date, Dollar, and others will be displayed. Another significant characteristic is the measure part, which allows you to select the measurement scale, such as scale, ordinal, and nominal. In SPSS, the scale system of measurement encompasses the interval and ratio measures used in conventional scales of measurement.
The width property determines the width of a string variable, whereas the decimal section specifies the number of decimal spaces. The columns section allows you to choose the size of the columns in which your data will appear. The user interface allows you to drag and drop pieces to make the columns wider or narrower.
Is SPSS hard to learn?
